I Can Haz Job Nao!

I started working at the bank on Thursday. I was nervous and unsure about it, but they were really accommodating. What I will be doing is acting as a “float” teller. When there’s an open position for a teller at a particular branch, I’d go and fill in until the position is filled (usually a couple of weeks). I would also fill in for tellers who are on some sort of extended leave (like maternity leave). So, it still feels adventurous and allows me to keep some semblance of my drifting lifestyle while unemployed. Ogre told me I needed a duster and a wide-brimmed hat to capture this.

So, it’s more training until Thursday next week, then it’s off to the branch to shadow tellers. What I think I’ll really enjoy about this job is the large amount of face-to-face interactions with lots of people. It’s something I’ve really been missing since graduating from school, and it’s why this job will be interesting for me. Well, along with drifting from branch to branch, performing acts of derring do and bankery wherever I go.
